Numerous Red Flag Warnings for the Southern Plains for Sunday/Monday behind the blizzard and severe weather threat.

One of the Weatherbrains panelists on this week’s episode mentioned that due to all the downed trees from the ice storm, western Tennessee and northern Mississippi might have a higher than normal risk of wildfires this spring and summer.

A Red Flag Warning is in effect for Saturday for much of Alabama and Mississippi. There was a huge grass fire earlier this week in Gulf Shores with all those spring breakers there this week.
