As a Weather-Ready Nation partner, we wanted to take a moment to pass this along to our members...
In 2021, the National Weather Service solicited comments on potentially changing the current Post Tropical Cyclone Report (PSH) product from local Weather Forecast Offices (which includes rainfall, wind, and other observations reported from a tropical cyclone event) to Comma-Separated Values (CSV) format. We heard your input and have made adjustments to the proposal to better suit your needs. The NWS is now looking for your comments on the following example products and services proposed to replace the current PSH product as early as the 2023 Atlantic hurricane season:
You can read more about the proposed change here.
Please submit your feedback to [email protected] by November 17 on these proposed changes to the format of the PSH.

We heard your input and have made adjustments to the proposal to better suit your needs. - Example of a proposed local Weather Forecast Office (WFO) Tropical Event Summary webpage. On this page you will find links to:
- Observational Data Summary examples in PDF format that is easily readable on a mobile device
- Impacts Report examples in PDF format that provide location-specific narratives on the known damage, injuries, fatalities, and evacuations.
- Downloadable Observational Data for Wind and Pressure, Rainfall, Water Levels, and Tornadoes in CSV format
- Examples of the proposed future PSH text product that will replace the current product. The proposed future PSH product would continue to be issued via the same channels as the current product in order to alert users when updated information is available, but the contents will simply point users to the WFO’s Tropical Event Summary webpage.
