it was almost as if no one at NASCAR had access to a radar. They kept drying the track and sending drivers to their cars when radar clearly showed another round of rain was almost on top of them.

NASCAR is and long has been a terribly run organization.

Did you hear the announcer say that there were no cities to block the storms?
This organization is doomed weather wise!!

They were stringing people along all afternoon, probably so they could at least keep some eyeballs on last year's replay and not lose all of their viewers.

Terrible way for the race to end. Just hoping and praying for the best at this point.

That was very scary. The Daytona 500 and Talledega 500 are often crash fests and you wonder why they keep racing it this way. Time to take off the restrictor plates.

They have actually taken the restictor plates off. They have just rearranged some things that basically do the same thing.

Ryan Newman has been released from the Hospital! Walked out with each of his daughters on either side of him.

Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch will go to the back but be scored from their original starting positions. The Xfinity race had to deal with rain so they will finish this afternoon after the cup race.

Ryan Newman is recovering from a head injury so there is no timetable for his return. Rousch has assured him the 6 car will be there for him when he is ready. Ross Chastain drove the car today. Not sure is he is the permanent fill in or not.
