Well apparently a boundary layer is being laid right now as we speak as it is raining outside. I expect the rain to move that quickly and then I guess I will just be waiting for the show

I guess SPC is just waiting to see what this early round does/did. The answer looks like not much but plenty of clearing to the south and west of ongoing/recently warned convection.

Kind of surprised the SPC is saying the watch will be issued by 21z. I was thinking they'd put it out in the next 30-45 minutes although I guess that fits the by 21z language.

HRRR doesn't show storms moving out of MS into AL until around 4:30-500PM central time.

Just depends on the when/where of the storm initiation. You can go from an empty radar to multiple tornadic supercells in 20-30 minutes.
