Winter WX March 12-13, here we go, the "S" word is mentioned!

so them short range models are stirring things up a bit........

Surprised more people aren't jumping on this.

quietest snow thread ever.
Needs to have a nader associated with it to get things going for the current TW audience. Maybe if Stormlover or Snownose would make an appearance this thread might take off...

Upper level temps in North Central Alabama plummet like a rock in the mid evening, but with near surface temperatures forecasted to hug close to freezing with fairly warm ground temps. Not expecting a huge snow accumulation but I can easily see a few inches being possible given the setup and trends this year. It's hard to imagine there not being at least a dusting with this setup for my personal region. Somebody is definitely going to cash in big though and this is almost mid March!

Woke up this morning to most of NAL under a Winter Storm Warning… not Watch but Warning. 2”- 4” expected over the area. It’s been a long time since a good March snow storm. Shouldn’t stick around long though with a quick warmup Sunday into Monday

Sniff sniff... Smells like snow to me.

Huntsville looks to cash in with 2-3. Diminishing amounts as you go further south. Expect Bham to get dusted, but it's March - expecting some surprises.

I agree on the surprises. I am just north of Huntsville, and we are in the 2-4 inch range for snow. Some folks hinting at surprises with possibly higher snow total above 2-4 inches.

69 degrees. Winter storm warning. Hmm...

If you look closely you'll see my TalkWeather hat in a reflection (bottom right) ty Wes!

Looks like a pretty good shot at a decent snow - already a lot on radar, and most of the moisture is on the cold side of the storm. Ground temps are going to be warm, but no doubt it's bringing the cold with it. It's 30 and snowing like crazy in Little Rock.
