i am more concerned for areas along the 78 corridor up to nashville. birmingham southward appears to be trending a little better than last nights 00z suite.
Propane heater - check. Converter for 20lb tanks - check. Whole-house generator for parents - check.

I think Euro had a bad run. I believe that it is underestimating the strength of the high over the Upper Midwest. I'd start to worry if things don't change by tommorow morning.

It may just be struggling with the cold air from this system too.

It has. I think GFS has been doing a better job at depicting the strength and placement of the high so far.
Fingers crossed that it is on to something. (Sorry to those wanting 3 inches of liquid equiv as winter weather; I am not one of them)

Feel like there is going to be some higher than usual levels of uncertainty till the 0z runs Friday night
Consistency is really the only thing to keep watching at this point. Snow totals are ties to thermals and only after we get recon data in will it get better. I’d expect a decent jump tomorrow night potentially. Lot to process before we start drawing lines.

Id rather the atmosphere be a lot colder with a bunch of snow for me or a cold rain lol. I'll pass on the ice though

This was the first glimmer of hope I've seen for my area just south of Atlanta. Being hopeful, but cautious until more information comes through tomorrow.

Looking at the trend from the Euro it could just be a fluke honestly. Past 6 runs. Also threw the GFS in as well.

Yeah, as much as I'd like to have a cold rain, I'm not sure it's actually indicative of a trend.
