Another new feature of the Alabama Weather Network is the Weather Brains Minute which gives a brief summary of who the guest on the show will be that week.

Since February will be six months the Alabama Weather Network has been on the air, how do you think they have done? I’m glad the network was able to ease into their new endeavor instead of handling a major hurricane in the northern Gulf or a major fall tornado outbreak over Alabama.

Last night was the network’s first high-end severe weather coverage. They were on nearly 12 hours. How do you think the Alabama Weather Network did last night compared to local market coverage? I liked how unlike a digital antenna for an over the air station, their coverage had a crisp signal and didn’t scramble when the line came through. I also liked how the crew struck a balance between explaining the science behind the storms and the banter to help stay awake.
