Israel has declared war after being invaded by hamas

...Hamas is apparently trying to block people from leaving...
Showing their true color about how they think of their own people? Or trying desperately (without any real hope) to get the IDF to delay the inevitable- which won't work.

Shelling into Gaza border has begun, I'm guessing a creeping barrage with the IDF following it forward is the plan. The world is polarizing but the weight seems currently to be on the side of Israel though the media is pushing otherwise. Many Islams seem to think Hamas went too far as the usual instant and widespread public support is absent. If I'm seeing things right, it's on Israel to not go to far now; if they do it will get bad, and if they don't this could signal a permanent reduction of support for Islamic extremism. I'm hoping for the latter.

"The Guardian", a British news source which seems to be well-balanced and honest, now has continuous coverage. Just been reported that Egypt will allow foreigners to enter from Gaza to escape the war beginning shortly. Relief supplies are being sent to Egypt for later distribution into south Gaza. Tens of thousands have heeded Israel's warning to move south and they have opened two safe corridors for evacuees which will remain open and free of attacks for a few more hours.

Likely that today (US time) will see the IDF begin ground operations into Gaza city begin.

Posturing by Russia and China, neither of who want the economic consequences of getting involved any further. Iran, Quater, etal are however untrustworthy and unpredictable- especially Iran.

Crazy to think that with all this madness going on between Russia and Ukraine and now Israel and Hamas, other events like the Azerbaijani offensive in Artsakh (and its upcoming dissolution) and the civil war in Myanmar have essentially flown under the radar
Needless to say, if both Iran and the US get their troops directly involved it's pretty much over
Just gonna casually sit back and wait for WWIII

Prepare for the draft men, or mandatory service instead of applying to be in the military

Iran is the big "if" here. If they get involved militarily all bets are off. Russia is backing Iran but doesn't have any normal troops or weapons to spare. What we need is for the strong middle-eastern states to tell Iran to stay home or else, and nothing like that has ever happened before so probably won't happen now.

America is now sending roughly 6000-7000 soldiers to the middle east. And Biden is visiting Israel. Don't like Biden but I think it's a good move, although I fear it could escalate things more.

A strike on a hospital in Gaza has killed at least 200, and possibly 500 or more Palestinians. Palestine claims it was an Israeli airstrike while Israel claims a Palestinian rocket misfired and hit the hospital. Regardless of who's to blame, hopefully this doesn't end up being the "big break" that Hezbollah and Iran end up using as justification to become involved with the conflict.

It's more and likely Palestine, I've seen the communications somebody posted. Where they were firing a rocket nearby and then no report of it hitting but then a report of a hospital got hit

The big nations with satellites can see the missiles and know where they came from. I know the US can,m and Israel who we share such things with knows it too. And they know a missile from them into a hospital intentionally will cost them US support. Hamas doesn't care. You can figure it out yourself.

Absolute gaslighting coming from the hamas propaganda machine. Saying that the U.S. was responsible for the strike on the hospital. ...Absolutely Gaza did it.
