80 years ago, the Windsor-Tecumseh drillbit tornado became the 3rd deadliest in Canadian history

Funnily enough, this happened to be on the anniversary of another notable North Dakota tornado, the 1957 Fargo F5.
This was not only a violent tornado that hit a major city, but also the first instance of a tornado being wholly surveyed by none other than the father of tornado science, Ted Fujita, who produced an extensive survey of the tornado, including photos and animations.
