Hurricane Hurricane Milton

What are the terms? Environment isn't that good. :p

Winds of 165 Knots (190MPH) found not too far from the surface.

Unbelievable. This may have just changed my mind on it being unlikely, lol.

My original thought was the northern side being sheared, but as others have mentioned earlier, it’s helping it ventilate. This storm is an absolute behemoth.

Let it hit the Yucatan if it wants. Anything to negatively impact it is VERY much wanted.

Absolutely. All for it getting disrupted as much as possible and weakening significantly before it hit Florida. That said, I am wishcasting right now. This storm is unprecedented for a variety of reasons, so I think historical analogs aren't going to help guide us as much as they normally might.

All I am certain of at this point is that people on the western coast of Florida need to flee as soon as possible.

This probably needs some VERY STRONG wording in the forecast like Katrina had.

On the outside chance Milton reaches 180mph max winds, it would be the strongest Gulf hurricane since Rita 2005.

To make it even more impressive, I’m pretty sure this was still a 90 mph C1 at 10:30 PM EST last night. (Someone please fact check me on this)
Yes it was.

10pm last night: Milton had winds of 90mph gusts to 110mph with pressure of 977mbar. 7am this morning: winds increased to 125mph gusts to 145mph with pressure of 945mbar. 8:05am this morning: winds now 150mph gusts to 170mph with pressure of 940mbar. That is a wind increase of 60mph and pressure drop of 37mb in 10 hours!

933.8Mb. Surface Winds of 136 Knots (156.5MPH) and Flight Level Winds of 134 Knots (154MPH).

163MPH Winds were contaminated due to the heavy rain.

Milton's best environmental support will happen due north of the Yucatan Channel, as it crosses a pool of very deep warm water, while shear that is expected off the west coast of Florida is not yet present. I think it not only has a chance to be a 5, I think it does have a possibility of going sub 900. I REALLY hope I am wrong.
