Hurricane Lala (Hawaii threat)

Tropical Storm Lala is approaching a potential landfall in Hawaii, and it may become a hurricane beforehand. The NHC appears to be issuing hourly update statements for Lala. It is a U.S. threat as it is threatening Hawaii.

It’s very rare that Hawaii gets directly impacted by tropical systems. At least for now it’s not as strong as Iniki at landfall in Hawaii from 1992.

From what I heard, if Lala makes landfall as a hurricane, it would be the first hurricane landfall in Hawaii since Iniki from 1992.

I saw from convective chronicles that there is dry air which might keep the hurricane at bay but could strengthen to cat 1 intensity
