Hurricane Erin

I'm starting to be impressed. She completely rewrapped the CDO and is pumping out moisture surprisingly symmetrically.

Erin: "Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated."

Noticing not a lot of beach on outer banks webcams - waves are high, but the ocean levels in general are what you notice. Waves up to the dunes in many places. There's going to be a lot of erosion from this one. Invest in sand pumping companies.

Agreed, this is going to wash away so much of the beaches.

Hurricane Erin has proven my spreadsheet temperature correlation theory true. The theory is lack of 100 degrees leads to more tropical impacts.

See pg.44 on the 2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season thread for more details about this.

With 46 Advisories, this is the most advisories for a hurricane since Hurricane Lee (49 Advisories) in 2023 and the 2nd most advisories for any Atlantic storm since Philippe (53 Advisories) in 2023.
Also, Erin is the first E storm since Earl (43 Advisories) in 2010 to exceed 40 advisories.
