* Until 315 AM CDT Monday.
* At 804 PM CDT, dam operators reported the failure of Archusa Dam
causing flash flooding downstream on the Archusa Creek.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding from the failure of
Archusa.
SOURCE...Dam operator.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of areas downstream
from the Archusa along the Archusa Creek.
This includes the following streams and drainages...
Hanging Moss Creek, Archusa Creek and Chickasawhay River.
Flooding is occurring along the Archusa Creek.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If you are in low lying areas below the Archusa you should move to
higher ground immediately.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
