I was about to post that and saw that you had. I think after it jogged southwest, the models said wait what, and then went haywire.
 
Yea, they're consistent on the SW, then it's like they just decided to throw a bunch of darts, while facing backward, after spinning around in an office chair for 5 minutes, then let a drunk raccoon in with a Sharpie marker to connect the lines. But what's not-funny but still...you can't entirely help but laugh, New Orleans is back to being a potential target.

...ETA BECOMES A HURRICANE AGAIN OFFSHORE OF SOUTHWESTERN FLORIDA...

Reports from a NOAA Hurricane Hunter aircraft and Doppler radar data
indicate that Eta has re-strengthened into a hurricane offshore the
southwestern coast of Florida, with maximum sustained winds of 75
mph (120 km/h), with higher gusts.
