For the College Football Playoff, Georgia did get in along with Alabama, Michigan and Cincinnati. Clemson thought they would be in the playoff this year but instead are regulated to the Cheeze-It Bowl in Arizona. Even though Auburn got put in the Birmingham Bowl, at least this year the game is at the brand new Protective Stadium.
