A major federal tornado research project based in Alabama would be stripped of funding, according to the budget President Trump submitted to Congress last month.

I'm not singling out Trump here by any means, the same thing has been happening here in Canada and a few other countries. But has anyone noticed that a lot of scientific research programs (especially in meteorology/climatology fields) have had their funding cut in the last few years? It's a worrying trend in my opinion.
