The Justice Department filed a motion to withdraw from an anti-discrimination lawsuit against the state of North Carolina concerning the controversial HB2 or “bathroom bill.” The motion cites the sufficiency of the recently passed replacement bill HB 142 as the reason for the change in posture.

In a departure from Obama White House procedure, White House Communications Director Michael Dubke announced that the Trump White House visitor logs will not be made public, citing “the grave national security risks and privacy concerns of the hundreds of thousands of visitors annually.”

President Trump spent the day golfing at his club in West Palm Beach.
