Using the original F-SCALE, F4 tends to be the rating for most objects transported from very long distances.

Ruskin Heights tornado - May 1957 "A canceled check from Hickman Mills (a suburb of Kansas City, Missouri) was found 165 miles away in Ottumwa, Iowa. "

I can believe that because that F5 tornado was extremely violent. The Andover 1991 F5 tornado blew paper debris as fast as Topeka/Lawrence which is around 100 to 150 miles away.

looks like the lake city tornado is being rated as a 160mph EF3 per DAT track. No indication of it going higher. The remaining of some walls on the worst of the damaged homes precluded a higher rating.

Track was just removed

What a bunch of BS there were well-built homes that were completely flattened and partially swept away.

Basically for that one anchor bolted house that was the oldest in that area, they gave it the all walls collapsed di because there was still debris on the foundation.
So…yeah. I was honestly not surprised.

None of the tornadoes in Meg’s CWA from April 2 to 3rd are being rated above 165.
The EF4 during a high risk streak is broken.
