Severe WX April 1-2 (overnight) Severe Weather Event

Unbelievable. That was literally so close to being another catastrophe. What’s scary is that the tornado that happened this year looked to be stronger than when the Tri State EF4 was in Monette.
Man I still don’t know how anyone didn’t die in the violent tornadoes in AR. They got storm cellars more then south I wonder..

Well, quite simply, they didn't really impact much population. That's the primary reason. None of them really hit a town directly.

Unsure if this has been posted around yet, but this is truly insane. I’m not sure what the official record is for furthest distance an object has been carried by a tornado, but I’d imagine this isn’t too far off.

Good grief!!! Certainly gives it more credence to how violent that beast was. Still cannot believe how ludicrous the motion looked.

Reminds me of Hackleburg. It carried a photograph over 200 miles from where it originated as well, I believe.

The longest documented distance an item has been carried by a tornado is a canceled check, found 223 miles away from its origin, transported from Stockton, Kansas to Winnetoon, Nebraska on April 11, 1991.
Here's a more detailed look:
The Record:
A personal check was carried 223 miles (359 kilometers) from Stockton, Kansas to Winnetoon, Nebraska on April 11, 1991.
Other Notable Instances:
A photo traveled nearly 220 miles over Alabama and Tennessee.
A metal poster bearing the likeness of a child flew more than 50 miles to Russellville, Alabama.
A study of tornado debris found that some items traveled unexpected distances.
Debris traveling shorter distances tends to fall 10 degrees to the left of the twister, while farther-flying debris was often dumped back to earth at an angle 5 degrees to the right.
Debris picked up by more violent tornadoes traveled farther.

Using the original F-SCALE, F4 tends to be the rating for most objects transported from very long distances.
I would bet it’s mostly because there were significantly more F4s than F5s, as a reason for the discrepancy between the numbers there. That’s an interesting table though - would you happen to know what the border is between what determines a “light” object vs a “heavy” one?

It is a possibility. However, there is usually not much difference between a high-end F4/EF4 and F5/EF5. I am not sure but I will try to look it up.
