It’s not the only cell that’s going to pose a threat to Memphis, but the Tunica cell looks like it may be the first one.

This is seriously mind boggling to follow right now. Zooming out, tornado warnings are popping from Louisiana to central Illinois, and EVERY STORM seems to be hooking.

Idk, definitely a “hook echo outbreak” right now something feels like it’s still missing for the time being. Great presentation on reflectivity with these cells, but velocity isn’t quite showing that “strong circulation with tornado imminent” look yet. Feels like we’re right on the brink of something significant.

I currently count 13 tor warnings. Likely to increase. Thankfully, most are only radar indicated AT THE MOMENT.

Most of these cells have and still are continuing to struggle to rotate cleanly in the lower levels. Impressive on reflectivity for sure though.

Keeping an eye on that cluster in central Tennessee. Looks like that might eventually work its way up here.
