This is an impressive cap. - Observed Radiosonde Data - 4pm . Of course those sites are a little east of the dryline but the data is interesting.
This is a good system for learning about and viewing convective initiation/inhibition. It will be pretty neat to see how this evolves over the next few hours.

I think it's very telling that, despite the parameter space, the SPC has went with 50/30 probs. That is essentially a coin flip. This is the epitome of conditional, and it's still very possible nothing really happens.

Watonga Cell seems to have failed breaking through the cap. All eyes on the Ames cell in the short term.

The echo tops on the Ames cell are up to 40,000 feet, so this cell may have legs. I guess we'll see.
