Not because Democrats are good (frankly the Democratic Party is terrible and they're just as corrupt as the GOP), but because this second Trump administration has been uniquely bad. Kamala Harris was FAR from a good candidate, but I don't think a Harris administration could have screwed up the country this bad if it genuinely tried. At the very least there wouldn't have been massive funding cuts to NOAA/NWS, the imposition of ruinous tariffs, ever increasing rifts with US allies, threats to take Greenland, literal threats of ethnic cleansing against Somali immigrants, and probably no illegal war with Iran, among other things.

Trump is basically using the federal government as his experimental toy to see how far he can go with his expansion of the executive branch's power and how much he can disregard the Constitution, while having his cult still support him.

Meanwhile, the only thing the GOP has left is calling their political opponents "communist".

We have senior White House officials now kneeling before Putin calling him a great humanitarian.. the values and principles of freedom, democracy, compassion, integrity, and justice have been flushed
 
Trump on the campaign trail can't talk about his accomplishments for the American people because he has none... so instead he talks about how he admires men's and women's azzes

Trump is always so even keeled when he loses. Hope we don't end up with a Constitutional crisis.

Honestly, it would have been difficult for the Democrats to pickup this many House seats had the stable genius not pushed his party to dummymander numerous seats.

You can get away with mocking people when gas is cheap, the economy is good, and you're somewhat novel. When you turn into an old drunk uncle, drone on about arches and golf courses, handpick terrible candidates, whiplash people over tariffs, Russian/Ukraine, demonstrate shameless corruption by you, your family, and staff, and then LAUGH at affordability...

Example number one million of a supervillain's ego being their own undoing. It's only been the plot of 95% of Hollywood movies for the last 70 years.

Just imagine, had the Democrats chosen to be about 10-15% saner on a couple of issues then who knows how many seats they would have won. GOP doesn't really have anyone left who doesn't have the Trump stink on them for 2028.

Lindsey Graham said back in 2015 that Trump would destroy the GOP. It's a shame he didn't live long enough to see his prophecy fulfilled.
