wait, I thought this wasn’t a war?!

And I won’t speak for the others but no I absolutely do not support our President in this idiotic conflict, just like the majority of my fellow Americans. There’s a reason why our sundowning President only has an approval rate in the mid-30s:

Disgusting.

If Hegseth and pretty much every US president from FDR onwards were tried for war crimes by the same standard that Nazi Germany's top surviving officials were during the Nuremberg trials, they would be hanged.
 


So, apparently this came out in the House Oversight Committee meeting yesterday, and has been flying under the radar of *gestures wildly* everything else. That is some damning evidence against Trump.
 


Imagine if a Democrat, any Democrat, said something like this on national television.

But I thought hurting consumers was the same thing as hurting the economy?

Because don't businesses - especially small businesses - rely on consumers to... you know... keep them open?

Maybe Trump doesn't understand basic economics as much as I thought he did...

None of them do. They only "sort of" understand what makes their rich friends richer. Talarico in Texas is hitting the "class war not culture war" stuff hard in his campaigning. A lot of the problems today are driven by Citizens United and big corporations/PACs having a disproportionate effect on elections and politics in general. It cannot be stressed enough how damaging that ruling was to every class below the 1%ers.

Russia says peace talks surrounding Ukraine are now in a "situational pause" amid the Iran war.

And thanks to the Iran war and resultant surging oil prices, the average US household could spend an additional $740 on gas this year, effectively wiping out whatever extra money people are getting in their tax returns.

Now Hegseth wants an additional $200 billion to fund this needless war. And the amount of MAGA drones still sticking to whatever their dear leader wants them to support and spouting "short term pain for long term gain" is almost mind boggling. Because the US being in Afghanistan for 20 years totally stopped the Taliban, right?

Great freaking job, President Trump.
 


This alone would be grounds for impeachment during any other presidency.
