Absolutely 100% unlawful and illegal execution of a US citizen exercising his 1st and 2nd amendment rights. The response from this administration has been to lie their money makers off and roll out Goebbels level propaganda.
Local and state law enforcement had better fully investigate as from what I saw on the very clear video that NBC has the victim was straight up murdered. The agents responsible should absolutely face charges and be tried in Minnesota. I truly hope local and state officials play this by the book and build a rock solid case.
The number of so called Conservatives and Republicans licking federal boots and trying to justify this murder is sickening. I thought the first shooting in Minnesota with the female victim was somewhat debatable and it was difficult to build a clear case that the shooting was unjustified (irrespective of what my personal opinion is). This shooting is crystal clear. Colossal f-up by federal agents. Any local or state LE that did this would face charges. The Feds should be held accountable the exact same way.

I don't think there are any diehard Trump supporters at all. Just people who voted against a far left liberal leaning ideal that provides no security for America and the people in it. Unfortunately, we are not balancing security with rights. The term let me see your papers is starting to resonate. We cannot have that in our society as a whole. Warrantless searches are not permitted.

Yeah, can't say it any differently. This was a sick execution of an American citizen, an ICU nurse who worked at the VA. His firearm was photographed being confiscated before the murder occurred. Shot in the back. This administration is trying to paint him as a domestic terrorist? I think we all know who the real terrorists are.

First off, mods, I'm cool with the edits, of course. This is my first experience here with such a horrible news event. Thanks for the guidance!
Second, I goofed. That Biden/white supremacists thing was in Michigan.
Third, I've been thinking about the end game. Something stinks about this and not the obvious stuff: Trump means what he says on things that are on his agenda.
For instance, he said last year that there should be luxury hotels in Gaza and now the Trump family has unveiled plans for skyscrapers there. I grieved for Israel after the horrendous October massacres and really couldn't blame them for going all Old Testament on Gaza, but it can't be denied that they cleared a path for this. At some top level, was such a despicable thing put into words and then agreed on?
Well, whatever.
In Minnesota ICE and the BP have been unusually aggressive throughout, and the DHS response to today's shocker seemed almost too predictable.
I can't help feeling that this is not over yet.
We are acting civilized, with Walz calling up the Guard and things like this being said:
Any way you look at it, it's a watershed moment.
But those in power now might not be as civilized as us.
The only endgame I can come up with is this:
1. Things deteriorate in MSP to the point where everybody expects Trump to deploy the troops recently alerted by the Pentagon.
2. He DOES -- to Greenland.
Stay with me. From what looked like sensible sources on X and bsky, the unit alerted does not have training in crowd control and other necessary skills to handle an urban setting; rather, it is specially trained for Arctic-style combat theaters.
I'll just put that out there and let others confirm or say it's not the case.
If it is true, though, then why not? That is, from the monsters' viewpoint (that tired, ill old man in the White House can't be alone in such a thing, if it is on the table).
Trump has been saying since 1.0 that Greenland must be ours. He walks that kind of talk.
The Davos deal? That's the sort of thing he has been handing Europe and Ukraine for a long time -- he will say whatever he needs to at one moment and go back on it at his leisure.
How would you feel if that little "forecast" verifies? Beyond stunned. So would I.
And that brings us to...
3. Break Americans' will. After that, the road to total control gets much easier, first at home and then abroad. (And of course Russia will not have been idle if we have destroyed NATO so quickly and unexpectedly, with speed and surprise being necessary because some of those countries have nukes.)
The US and Russia then rule the world, perhaps through that orwellian-sounding Board of Peace as a fig leaf to maintain the illusion of freedom, which keeps the economic bottom line healthy.
Everybody would know the truth -- and would not be able to say it.

I sure hope that I'm wrong and that I should stop reading so many spy thrillers. Time will tell.
But it's a good thing Greenland's government this week gave citizens specific prep instructions in case of "emergency"; things like power being out a long time, how much food to have, etc.

Strange to think that the fate of the world right now might rest on the strength, faith, and good will of Minnesotans and the ability of Europe to present a credible nuclear deterrent to both Moscow and the current crop of maniacs in DC.
This little American citizen wants to go on record to say to London and Paris that, if Trumpeteers make any move towards deploying winter-ready troops "to Minnesota," you should raise your equivalent of our DEFCON up a notch and keep raising it, if necessary, all through a US process that might actually have launched landing craft to the Greenland littoral.
Don't fire first. But do fire, as soon as the first US military boot of occupation steps foot on NATO-defended territory.
For the sake of our common heritage of liberty and our long frienemy-ship, I'll understand; hopefully, most other Americans will, too.
Yes, it will bring on Armageddon. And that will be bad for the bottom line, which these maniacs are all about. So that nightmare US invasion of NATO will not happen.
But you must be willing to do it, if necessary. And I think you are; otherwise, the maniacs wouldn't be doing this in Minnesota, per my hypothesis above. (PS: If he deigns to accept one, please give Larry the Cat a gentle and affectionate pat on the head for me.)

I would take Walz over anyone in the administration right now. I would take Pence over Walz. Walz is a very left-leaning individual, and his stances on women's rights, abortion, and illegal immigration are abysmal. I agree, to a point, that ICE needs to reduce its presence in Minnesota right now. What they are doing is harming law-abiding Americans.

I think the issue is that he's not doing enough to stop them from continuing to murder U.S. citizens.
