• Looks like our DeLorean hit 88 miles per hour a little too hard! A recent style update went sideways, sending us back to a retro look for a bit. We've parked that faulty future theme for now while we tinker under the hood.

Not sure if this will ever get by the first page but here goes….

Interesting take on Russia and the War in Ukraine…

It's interesting to see how jaded everyone seems to be about discussing politics now vs ten years ago. Used to be a page a day now it's a page a season.
2023 politics, good luck and I'll preemptively facepalm myself.

Its kind of hard to keep interested in politics when 98% of all politicians have left you behind. I'm getting to the point where I only want to vote in local elections these days.

And then something corrected or something is going on with this flight. It literally jumped on its path.

Meanwhile, while the US is distracted by its own drama, Xi goes to Russia.

"The Russia-China relations have reached the highest level in their history and are gaining even more strength." (Putin quoted as saying) "They surpass Cold War-time military-political alliances in their quality, with no one to constantly order and no one to constantly obey, without limitations or taboos."

There fixed it.

On the grand scheme of things, does anything matter (other than the grand scheme itself, naturally)?

Also, Ghost revived the previous political thread instead posting in the 2023 thread.
Meaning that while he is running for president, he isn't going to be the next president. I think even his base is getting tired of hearing about him and there is an option that doesn't carry so much baggage.

I do struggle with the idea of publicly arresting a former president of the united states. It didn't occur with Clinton whose documented law violations are evident. It didn't occur against Richard Nixon for the Watergate scandal and it didn't occur against Andrew Johnson. Why this precedent now? Why is the Manhattan DA worried about Former President Trump and prosecuting him in an attempt to secure a felony? Oh I know why so he can't run for president. What are they scared of?
Further more the Manhattan DA allows murderers and far worse crimes against humanity to not even brought up to trial. Instead Alvin Bragg is looking for his 15 minutes of fame in an attempt to indict, prosecute and convict a former president of the United States which has never been done.

Alvin Bragg needs to go back to law school and really understand what is crime and focus on prosecuting violent crimes and misdemeanors that really will keep his community safe instead of wasting time and money on a hunt for fame.

We’re going to get stuck with Biden vs. Trump in 2024 again aren’t we
If we do.. I'm thinking you better vet their VP running mates because there's a fairly good chance they will be the POTUS before the end of the term.
