I want to encourage y'all to take these classes, they are so informative and will make you helpful to the NWS by reporting various information. It's not just about spotting tornadoes, you report hail sizes, winds, damage and even winter weather.

I attended the spotter class in HUN yesterday. Even though I've studied weather on a personal basis for many years, I learned a few new things, and it was a pleasure to meet the HUN NWS folks and hear their stories!
