Stone was working on the timing and messaging of the Wikileaks releases. We don’t know if he was doing this at the request of multiple members of the trump campaign, or just one.

Why did he choose twitter? I guess because it was easy.

Stone himself has admitted to messaging Guccifer 2.0 (Russian intelligence) through Twitter.

It is dubious precedent. Neither one of these emergency declarations would stand up in court. For starters, it is for when Congress does not have ample time to react to an act of war. It is not for when Congress just doesn't want to act or does not pass a resolution the president likes.

I support a barrier. I also support other methods of border security in conjunction with a barrier. But I do not support the route he is going and I hope the courts strike it down, because of what a future president might do with an emergency declaration.

Because he screwed the pooch in dealmaking with lawmakers, he is resorting to this. Art of the deal...my a$$.
 
Maduro's regime in Venezuela (Bernie Sanders utopia and AOC's socialist haven) is murdering its own citizens with what is being reported as "death squads." If only their citizens had a way to protect themselves...
 
I say Trump should defy any order by any Federal Judge and continue on. Use the money identified and start building new sections of wall and continue construction already underway. It is time to wrestle power away from the courts and end the judicial tyranny.

Worst post ever. This would be presidential tyranny. A president can’t just go against the wishes of congress and the orders of the court. That would be presidential tyranny.

You would have come unglued if Obama did something like this.

Coequal is a word used for our govt for a reason.

A Federal Judge in Texas ruled this past December The Affordable Care Act unconstitutional. have the exchanges shut down ? Is Obamacare on hold pending appeal ? Let me know.

I don’t know why, but the appeal allows the ACA to stay in place until it is decided by a higher court. That’s from a White House statement.

I do know that Obamacare made it through Congress, which the wall did not. So Obama did not go against the wishes of any branch of his govt.

Thought you were a conservative?

I do not know how some of you do it. To respond to such ignorance and idiocy day in and day out. Matt reminds me of some of my family members who are so driven by identity politics that any meaningful political conversation is unheard of. They will never evolve. They will never be objective. They will just root for their team no matter how heinous they are. No claim or conspiracy theory too outlandish. No tactic too low or classless. It's sad.

But that's what where the Republican party is. They are Trump's bitches. It's all on record. It's for all to see. And they will pay dearly for it in the coming decades unless they evolve drastically.

And then you have the Democrats who are working feverishly to cannibalize their own, take a hard left, drive away moderates and middle American Democrats, and hand that orange bastard another four years. Four more years of people like Matt and the Republican party sucking at the teat of Trump, ignoring all reality in the name of "Making America Great Again".

Enjoy being a stain in American history, Matt. You and your ilk have earned it.

I’m not a fan of Trump in general, but hyperbole such as this doesn’t help any, IMO.

The official definition of hyperbole is: exaggerated statements or claims not meant to be taken literally.

Please point out the hyperbole in my post. I'll be happy to multiquote Stormlover and Matt to prove my point if you'd like. There are countless others in this country who think just like them. I just did not think it was necessary to prove the obvious.

I am not a registered Democrat or Republican. I think for myself. I call bull when I see it... on both sides. And both sides are rife with it. But anyone who compares both sides with any parity when it comes to the outright treasonous (yes, treasonous) behavior like what Trump is doing is really just an idiot. An absolute idiot.
