I've noticed a few

He's a high school student that was entered into the spotlight because he managed to survive a school shooting. Has he done and said everything in an ideal way? No, he hasn't, but most people at that age aren't exactly at a peak level of maturity.

You can disagree with his cause, but mocking him over his academics or the like is pretty gross and classless. Laura Ingraham is realizing that now that some of her sponsors started jumping ship.

The way everyone was reacting to Laura Ingraham's tweet I thought she had made fun of him or something. So, imagine my surprise when I find out that her big no-no was telling Hogg to quit whining. Do I think she should have said anything about his college applications? Nope. I think she should never have brought it up, even though Hogg brought it up himself. Because it's irrelevant. Lots of kids don't get into their school of choice. It's not a news story. I would have ignored it completely. Having said that, Laura Ingraham apologized, but that wasn't good enough for Hogg. Color me surprised. A gracious person would have accepted the apology and moved on. But the leftists pulling Hogg's strings rounded up all of her sponsors and Hogg tweeted what basically amounts to....Destroy her!

You see, Hogg and his cohorts, they can stand on podiums and call people whom they disagree with murderers, such as Marco Rubio and Dana Loesch, who had zero culpability in what happened in Parkland, but someone tells Hogg to stop whining and the wheels come off. He wants to play with the big boys but he wants to hide behind his mother's skirt by saying, "I'm just a kid. You can't talk to me like that. Bad stuff happened to me and my friends so we get to say whatever we want!" Only my version contains no F bombs. Hogg, you know, has to sound tough when he talks. But with all of his tough talk, he hasn't addressed the first honest and real issues about what happened at his school that day. How law enforcement, both local and federal, failed to enforce the laws already in place to prevent someone like Cruz from getting his hands on a gun. That's how you know that Hogg isn't about making his school and other schools safer, because he's not even addressing the issues that allowed Cruz to kill 17 people that day. Clear backpacks offends him but I thought all he cared about was saving lives. See, every time someone comes up with a plan or an idea to harden a target he gets red in the face and demands they come after the guns. Why isn't he demanding that that idiot sheriff step down? That the other officers who failed to do their jobs...why isn't Hogg and company demanding those people be held accountable? See, that's where the rest of us smells the rat. These young adults are being used as props to push for gun control and the push won't stop until they reach a full ban on all guns. That's why none of that other stuff matters. You know, the stuff that actually got those kids killed.

So you can be as impressed with Hogg and the others as you want to be. But as long as they are standing on podiums calling people murderers to push leftist agendas, then they damn well better get some tougher skin. Because as I look around, all the classless comments are coming out of these "kids'" mouths. And sooner or later, people will start pushing back. And rightly so. Because being a victim doesn't make you an expert. Surviving a bad situation doesn't make you an expert. Hogg and his cohorts are not experts on gun laws. It is a courtesy that the American people are listening. But we tire of it now.

Interesting, local news isn't as local as it seems.

Found this nice PBS NewsHour clip (9min) that explains:

Ingraham is a highly educated woman and I respect her for adopting the orphans that she has, but she really waded into the shallow end of the pool with her personal academic shaming shade she threw at kid with a 4.2 average. She should have stuck to her differences with him over gun issues. And I believe Hogg should have accepted her apology and showed some class and grace toward her instead of the potty mouthed, arrogant, militant persona he seems to relish cultivating.

She didn't shame him. She told him to stop whining. Nothing she tweeted was awful, degrading, or even insulting. Her mistake was addressing it at all. Nothing she said deserves a boycott. But this is how we operate now. Someone doesn't even have to attack you....you just might not like what they have to say, so you want to punish them by clubbing them over the head with the threat of loss of income/job, etc. I've stated she should have never mentioned his college apps, but she did not insult him, let's be clear about that. Hogg's reaction to her tweet is way over the top and is designed to draw more sympathy toward him and continued bookings on CNN. He can say and do whatever he wants. You and I need to watch our p's and q's. That's the lesson Hogg and his friends are learning.

I laughed harder at this than I probably should've. Can't wait for righteous indignation from a fellow board member.

I saw this on another board:

"The lawyer that has plead guilty to lying to Special Counsel Mueller is Alex van der Zwaan - his father-in-law is no ordinary Russian oligarch, he is German Khan and owns Alfa Group. German Khan and his partners opened Alfa Bank which is the largest privately owned Russian bank.

What's odd is that Alfa Bank repeatedly looked up contact information of a Trump Tower server, making up 80% of the traffic during the campaign. President Trump's Secretary of Education, Betsy DeVos, is connected to the Trump Tower server through her husband's company Spectrum Health. Together with Alfa Bank they made up 99% of the lookups of the Trump server in the summer of 2016.

Betsy DeVos's brother is none other then Erik Prince, he proposed a private spy network for President Trump and was an advisor during the campaign. Erik Prince held a secret meeting in Seychelles to establish a Trump-Putin back channel.Prince told congressional house members that he had met the CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, Kirill A. Dmitriev. The Russia Direct Investment Fund is a Russian sovereign wealth fund that has an interesting link to Alfa Group. The First Deputy CEO of RDIF, Tagir Sitdekov, was a former Managing Director in Alfa Group's private equity arm.

George Nader, an advisor to the United Arab Emirates that was present at the Seychelles meeting, is cooperating with Special Counsel Mueller's investigation. He has already testified in front of a grand jury. George Nader is another instance of an unscrupoulous individual being allowed to work with the Trump campaign, he has previously been convicted on child pornography charges."

I did some searching through articles that were referenced in the original post, and it appears to be correct. This thing is big and complex.

Yet ANOTHER instance of police being warned of a person going to commit violence and NOTHING was done, even after police stopped the Youtube shooter prior to the incident. Liberal logic has asserted repeatedly they should be the only people allowed to have guns and the rest of the citizenry should be disarmed.

And guess what? She wasn't an NRA member. She was a 39-year-old, Middle Eastern, vegan, PETA-loving liberal. Anyone calling those groups murderers? Where's David Hogg or those other excrement stains that are the March for Our Lives members?

50 years ago today...

Shot rings out in the Memphis sky
Free at last, they took your life
They could not take your pride"

Yet another failure of Obama's "red line" in Syria....this time at a cost of 40 innocent civilians. His admin said back in 2014 that "100% of the chemical weapons were dismantled and removed." This past weekend was the umpteenth use of chemical weapons on the people of Syria.

And then Trump declaring removal of U.S. forces from Syria with no forethought or planning. It was almost as if the Trump admin was on the way to extricating itself from the gains made on defeating ISIS. Either way, it seems no administration takes note until dozens of men, women, and children have already choked to death.
