2/19/26- 2/20/26 - severe threat discussion

Image-wise the damage currently isn’t looking too bad as compared to what is being expected based off the radar presentation. Of course, however, the worst won’t be seen till the morning.

I’m glad noted meteorologist GumryWX chimed in and gave his opinion.

Anywho, today is a really good example of how these broad, zonal troughs can spread lift over a large area. Multiple instances of CI (non tornadic as well) today. A day that really hit its ceiling.
Yeah, not sure what he's on claiming this wasn't an ENH tornado day. To me anyway, this seems like a classic type of day and setup for a small Enhanced risk. Localized area of conditional risk for significant severe convection.

Could definitely have some strong winds and maybe hail from these storms forming on the southern edge of this system in Tennessee southward. Will move eastward through the night and could still be going tomorrow morning.

Now that there are no Tornado or Severe Thunderstorm Warnings on the board right now, I'm going to call it a night. In the meantime, may the rest of the night continue to wind down without any problems!:)

This is the thing. Chasers have 10# in their minds as "SEVERAL significant tornadoes, photogenic, long track!"

That was never on the cards. One or two sigtors minium. What did we get? We got that. This was a perfect 10# whilst I was skeptical of it, SPC had enough confidence to go for it. I personally wouldn't have. But in the end, the sigtor threat verified. I don't know what the complaints are. One minute, it's about tornado warnings in a QLCS, then the other, oh, did the SPC really verify this 10#?

The whole lot of them over there really need to shut up LOL
