Severe Weather 2025

I don't remember an extended period of cooler weather in late August/early September like this. I assume we will pay for it later.
I'm enjoying it while it lasts because going outside and not immediately sweating in August in Georgia is rarer than a rat's behind!

IDK, I would assume rat's behinds are fairly common since every rat has one.
So I am not the only one who has noticed this August feels more like June or May. I am not going to complain about the lack of super hot temperatures here, but I thought we were the one of the few places that have experienced this August. We've actually had rain in July or August and we never have rain in July or August.

Since it’s the dead middle of summer, I’m not putting too much belief in this occurring - it’s far enough out atm for me to still be able to write it off by next cycle for sure. If this trend sticks though I believe it may be something to look out for, especially because it’s the Euro doing this and not the GFS.

12z Euro ensemble shows pretty ok agreement on a trough swinging through, with anywhere from no moisture to decent moisture to work with:

However, again, it’s the summer. But what really caught my eye was the operational 12z Euro:

Again, I find this exceptionally unlikely to actually happen, but I’m bored because it’s the summer and I wanted to post here lol. Also, if this does pan out, I do believe this has potential to become a significant severe weather event, regardless of whether or not it’s a tornado outbreak or a wind bag. This trough really just has that look to it.

Again, a whole week out though and it’s summer, so we’ll see.
