Severe WX March 30th- April 1st 2023 (South, Southeast, Ohio Valley, Upper Midwest)

Well, I've had a lot of catching up to do on this thread. A day for the books for sure...unfortunately daylight tomorrow is not gonna be pretty in a lot of places.

Still, it's one heck of a personal monkey off my back to finally capitalize on a rare opportunity to see a spectacular tornado. Even so...I managed to miss something. See the GoPro shot (the ultra-wide fisheye)? That's the second "twin" on the far left. I didn't even notice it in real time!

Also, I probably could have played it better and gotten more after leaving this location (IA-92 just west of IA-77 south of Keota), but I wanted to give the storm a wide berth given the speed it was moving (no "zero-metering" for me, ever - Not only do I find the wide, whole-storm views more photogenic, and the chase much more relaxing and enjoyable if I'm not constantly in mortal peril - but my mother and/or my wife would kill me if the tornado didn't); but I did get a (distant and somewhat low-contrast, especially compared to these) view of one or perhaps both (will have to review video more closely) twins roping out near Kalona.

OHX should give some lead time on this tornado. It is confirmed and you need to give those people enough time. If it cycles it cycles, but you can't bet on that on radar ops.

Edit: Finally.
