You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
I did use it 2x, didn't I? Poor proofeading on my part. I do know what the word means, but let me rephrase. Imo Abrams makes the poorest clothing choices for an on-camera personality, especially when she is also a role model for our young girls. Also imo, Bettes consistently pushes his global warming agenda more than the others.

I would think one would have to be worser.
I do not think "worser" is a word. You could say person a is worse than person b, but you would not say person a is worser than person b. In this instance you are comparing one to another, not the one to all. If you ste intending to compare a single to all others, then "worst" is the correct term. Player a was the "worst" on the team. The burned rolls were the "worst" at the buffet.
My comments were meant to imply that imo of all the personalities, Abrams makes the worst clothing choices and imo Bettes is the worst of them all at pushing a global warming agenda.
But ah, we seriously digress from weather into grammar. Although grammar matters in all subject areas.

Scientific consent is virtually never universal, but the vast majority of climatologists agree that there is a trend of increasing average temperatures, rising sea levels, and melting ice caps. The vast majority of climatologists also agree that the causes of this are anthropogenic. The fact that there are a few outliers does not change the general consensus. Those outliers might even be experts, like Spann, but it still doesn't change the overall consensus. Again, 100% universal scientific consensus is pretty much unheard of.

This study should be useful to you, and one paragraph in particular stands out:
http://iopscience.iop.org/article/10.1088/1748-9326/11/4/048002/pdf

Occam's Razor also applies here. It doesn't take that many assumptions to say "here is a trend of increasing average temperatures, rising sea levels, and melting ice caps" (forget the anthropogenic/non-anthropogenic debate for a minute).

On the other hand, it takes a lot of assumptions to say that "almost all climate data is fake, and every study that has found that there is was actually funded by green energy corporations to increase their profits. Even though there's no record or evidence of this for the majority of these studies, that's because the green energy industry is just really good at covering their tracks".
Who’s paying you to defend climate change. In fact, climate change can be true and TWC can lie about it at the same time. So if you’re triggered y’all need to go over to that thread and go at it and don’t ruin this one.

Hey, I am new to TalkWeather and having a little trouble figuring out exactly which comment is being replied to, but if your comment on global warming was directed at me, apologies. I had no intention of turning the conversation in that direction, and most definitely did not intend to come across as defending or supporting it. Simply used twc treatment of it as a reason I am enjoying WeatherNation.

Actually wasn’t replying to you but thanks for replying. When they started naming “winter storms” I was done. They’re production skills and presentation is way better than WN but it is what it is.

Agree. I was fascinated to find such a discussion here when I simply did a google search on twc vs wn. Google never lets me down. I am new to WN too, having just discovered via Roku. Literally found it yesterday.

I intentionally used worser, I was being both sarcastic and a smart-aleck, heh.

Welcome to the forum.

TWC when they actually decide they want to devote live coverage to an event. Too many events during severe season go without coverage I feel like. Instead you get Ice Road Truckers or Highway to Hell or whatever show they got going on.

True that. Last time I bothered with TWC years ago Ice road truckers was exactly what they were playing instead of covering active severe weather and tornadoes. I noped out and never watched them again.
They want viewer count more than providing a public service, it's all business over there now IMO. Can't blame them for giving viewers what they want to watch, but I can blame them for showing reality TV instead of current weather events when there's a dangerous situation unfolding.

I agree!! Some of what they tell you is kindergarten level. I resent global warming being shoved down my throat. Give me science and let me come to my own conclusions. Bettes is the worst. He opens his mouth; I hit mute. And their foray into politics does not belong on a weather station. They also are super annoying with the constant get out of harm's way, stay safe but hey, if you do stand on your balcony to film that tornado, send us your video for your 5 mins of fame. Cantores and Seidel tend to stay out of the drama, but the rest....

All that said I was thrilled to find WN. They are not as glossy as twc and don't seem to have the level of studio technology as twc, but they have adequate tools to show me what is happening.
TWC had done what Sports Center did, it has become a show about the show. Hosts always doing stuff to draw attention to themselves. Abrams and Cantori are just plain goofy in the mornings.

I havent watched twc for a while, until this am. Have been watching it for about 30 mins. I am amazed at how much of this 30 mins they have spent advertising themselves and upcoming shows. Never really paid attention before, but you are correct, they really are more about themselves than weather. I would say they have begun to hide behind the weather as a means to self promote.
