How long are we supposed to be at war ? Eighteen years is enough!
I'm not saying we wanna stay in war there, but there is good way to get out of it and a stupid way to get out of it. We have chosen the latter. Thousands of the Kurdish have died helping us keep the ISIS thread far away from the United States and we repaying them for their sacrifices by basically leaving them with Turkey ready to kill them to the north and Syrian and Russian forces to the east and south. The fact that the leadership of the Senate is speaking out against this move should give you an idea of how stupid this is. This is just a kneejerk decision that will haunt us for decades when we go searching for allies to help keep dangerous groups like ISIS away from US soil.

To quote Congressman Charlie Wilson...
"These things happened. They were glorious and they changed the world... and then we f%&$ed up the end game."

Trump's tweets are getting more insane as days go by. Who uses language like... "in my great unmatched wisdom"? "I will totally destroy and obliterate the economy of Turkey"? I can name a couple that come to mind... Kim of NK and Chairman Mao (Mao Zedong). That's the language of a maniacal dictator or tyrant. Has he managed to shred our Constitution and emasculate the Senate and House?

Trump has invited Erdogan to the US. This is the same president who’s bodyguards beat US protestors on US soil. Don’t worry, Trump made sure all the charges were dropped against the bodyguards.

I don’t understand this move. I thought it was a perfect call made by a man with unmatched wisdom...

I'm sure we can all think of dozens of important civil and criminal cases in which a totally innocent victim blocks the testimony and documentary evidence of a supporting witness. Must happen all the time, right?

Trump is a very poor student of history. Evidently has forgotten, of is unaware, of one of the key things that destroyed Nixon's public approval and ability to impeachment. The American people don't like secrecy, cover-ups, or the appearance of a cover-up. When Nixon destroyed/hid evidence, blocked witness testimony, stalled investigations, and stonewalled Congress, he destroyed his approval ratings and support for impeachment sky-rocketed.

Trump survived the Russia investigation because his attorneys forced him to allow most people to testify/cooperate. He was politically damaged, but he avoided criminal charges and impeachment. Now he's going to double-down on stupid because he actually thinks the Russia investigation would've gone better had he stonewalled and obstructed even more. Trump has always enjoyed incredibly risky bets and ill-advised gambles. We'll see how this one plays out...

We have the transcript. Nothingburger. The second WB is the source for the first WB.
We have a memo. Not a verbatim transcript. Feel that is very important fact.
