Slow-motion lightning in real life?

When I was a kid, I'd watch thunderstorms in the living room when they came by, and over a decade ago (sometime from 2011 to 2014 I believe) I very vividly remember one night where the lightning was practically in slow-motion. I was with my dad and we both remember that day in detail. It wasn't just one strike that did that, it was every single lightning strike that day. I even remember pointing out to my dad that one of them looked just like the Van Halen logo.

It looked very similar to this video, except it really was that slow, and it was with my naked eye, in real life, in real-time. Over the last several years I have occasionally gone into deep dives online to try and find any video proof or some sort of written documentation of such a thing existing, but I couldn't find anything. No online forum posts, no scientific papers, nothing even suggesting that such a thing is remotely possible. About 2 to 4 seconds would pass in between the lightning bolt appearing from the base of the clouds, to it arcing and branching off attempting to find the path of least resistance, to it finally striking something and discharging/flashing upwards at a somewhat regular speed. I don't remember if it decayed/disappeared any slower than it usually should.
Has anyone ever spotted anything like this before? Is there anything that can prove that I'm not the only one and that I'm not crazy? Every source I check says that it shouldn't even be possible but I know what I saw.

It's called anvil crawler lightning, there's another example on the below video:

How on earth have I never come across this term. It was slower than this (it was more vertical than horizontal) but other videos I now found show something similar to what I saw. Thanks a bunch!
