Shear is pretty sufficient overall in Iowa and southern Wisco, per 20z mesoanalysis, but very weak from surface to 1km up. Nevertheless, the Iowa cell has clearly taken on the characteristics of a classic 'hook' supercell, and Brandon Copic has reported rapid rotation from his view.

He is now reporting weak tornado on the ground

Yikes. That doesn’t sound good at all. Interestingly enough, I don’t think the Quad Cities metro area has ever really had a truly major tornado disaster in its history.

Yeah Brandon has a small dust whirl tornado on the ground currently, though he says it is getting stronger.

The fact that this storm went apes*** so fast, from initiation to severe to tornadic.
