That’s essentially the crux of the issue, all the offices have standard guidelines, plus their own criteria that can vary office to office.Illinois requires and STP of >6 in order to issue a tornado emergency, which seems like a really dumb, arbitrary threshold. This one is currently in an STP of 0.5.
