The HRRR says the dry slot will fill in during the next hour over Raleigh. We shall see.
Does not look like it. Dry air is really being entrenched in this system now.

Report from my child on the mountain near Waynesville, NC... 11 inches and still snowing. They're at 2,500 feet elevation.

We got a solid 7 inches in Carnesville, GA. That’s about one hour northeast of Atlanta up I-85. Snowed heavy off and on from 8am until around 3:30pm. Flakes are the consistency of flour and the wind was howling through the trees blowing it around so much visibility was down to less than 100 feet numerous times. It was one heck of a day for snow in northeast Georgia. I got some amazing drone shots once the snow stopped.
Now I see a lot of South Carolina is getting rocked too. Wonder what next weekend has in store for the southeast.

After a promising start, this storm kind of fell apart for Charleston. We have perhaps 1 solid inch on the ground here.
Hoping the early morning bands give us another 1-2" before it's over.

Light snow is still falling near Huntsville. There's a light dusting on the ground in some areas. I'm jealous! 
We got a light dusting again here at my home in Cullman. The two ponds near me are almost completely covered in a thin sheet of ice with snow of top.

The "Gulf effect" snow bands are finally taking shape in the Tampa area. Snow has also been reported in other spots on the Florida peninsula.

I live in West Ga now, just over the Bama/GA line. We had flurries at our house but we saw the snow bands just 20 miles away in Villa Rica, so we “snow chased” and we were not disappointed. This was the driest snow I’ve ever witnessed in the south, plus the winds were causing (instead of dust devils) snow devils!!
