Winter Weather 2025

After vacationing in northern Michigan last week, I’m happy to report that a lot of the ice storm damage has been cleaned up at Mackinac Island, Mackinaw City, Gaylord and along I-75. However, there are still a lot of large limbs and branches down in the wooded areas and the big concern now is the drier than normal conditions across the upper Midwest, which if forest fires occur in northern Michigan this summer, there will be a lot of fuel with the downed limbs for something really bad to occur.

i know its very early but i skimmed through it and saw a possible repeat of a 2014 and 2016 winter although i know that this isnt a guarantee https://www.severe-weather.eu/long-...25-2026-pattern-over-united-states-canada-fa/ i was thinking that eventually we might return to a normal fall and winter someday hopefully

What is normal anymore? Smh. This past winter was first real winter in years. Bone chilling cold but not much snow at all.

oh the winters in maybe between 2013 and 2019 i remember having cool falls and cold winters but gotcha

i dont remember 2013 through 2017 but maybe the last few had good falls and winters but im guessing it was the same for 2013 to 2017

Yeah just seems so long ago cuz here in mid Atlantic we had few mild winters. 2023 was spring jacket winter whole time. lol. Looked out my window in feb and saw bugs flying like wth

i know right i remember 2023 down here too it was warm and i think i heard crickets or something frogs croaking like it was may and it was january or february which was crazy

As much as I enjoy no bone chilling wind and a big long spring with track jacket weather, it makes bugs worse that summer etc and things get messed up.

My coldest day during this most recent winter was in early January with a low in the early morning of January 7th of 9 degrees F

My lowest high was in February with a high in the mid 20s F

i hope that we can just get a normal cool fall and cold winter im thinking that we would return to that someday right
