The supercell approaching Potosi, MO, has another cell following right behind, and it's possible that the two may merge. What effects that will have remains to be seen, but personally I'm hoping that it will cause a weakening of activity!

There's a rain cool atmosphere thats out west with these line of storms that the supercell should enter before it reaches O'Fallon MO.

Jeez, I didn’t even know this tornado was so close to Stratton. I swear this year has been throwing re runs at us like crazy!

Yeah. Rip FWD for saying that no more storms were expected tonight. I mean, I certainly didn't expect anything to fire this late, much less sustain itself.

SPC just put out this MD for the area. They don't seem particularly concerned with tornado potential but even an EF1 at night could be bad news in a populated area. I think there's a layer of capping or low-level stability that should keep the tornado threat low overall.

Looks like a bunch of moist air is going to come in and wipe out that dry line. I suspect this will make things calm down significantly. Without forcing, you don't get explosive convection.

Lol if that would have been earlier it could have been bad for the DFW metro.
This guy needs to re-examine his priorities.

Got in late last night and before going to bed loaded the 4K camcorder video from Sunday at Arnett onto my computer.
These are just some raw frame snaps. The timelapse from the GoPro clipped to my side window is gonna be unreal. It caught nearly the entire life cycle from birth until it moved offscreen (just a minute or two before roping out), with the spectacular storm structure above.
When I posted them on Stormtrack I said "This is my Rozel." Then I realized it was 12 years later to the same date!
