Tornado warning for the Higgins storm.
First tornado warning today out of OUNTornado warning for the Higgins storm.
That corridor was very narrow earlier this afternoon. Here’s the theta-e two hours apart. It’s modified considerably. You’ve had almost 5k J/kg of cape sitting there since a little past noon today. Kansas still has plenty of CIN and not nearly that much cape. It’s going to take a dues ex machina from the LLJ to turn it more favorable.
If storms went off the dryline in Kansas right now they’d slam right into that inversion.
Activity seems to be picking up quite fast now.
Given the VTP in the area it makes sense, and yeah agreed on the trajectorySo they excpect intense to violent tornadoes out of it? I agree with them but wow I do not like where its headed.
Looks like a possible strong anti-cyclonic tornado southwest of Saint Francis, KS.
Also a likely (cyclonic) tornado on the storm just south of that oneLooks like a possible strong anti-cyclonic tornado southwest of Saint Francis, KS.
