These storms currently firing are right on time according to the HRRR. It's been saying initiation starts at 4pm CST all day.

The Canadian TX storm is heading into what I believe is the best environment any storm has been in all day long.

But where are those good old-fashioned chasers, on which we used to relyyyyyy
I'd argue there really hasn't been one - if we mean 3-5 or more strong to violent tornadoes, all in the daytime - since May 24, 2011.How long has it been since we’ve had a diurnal, verified moderate to high end classic Oklahoma/Kansas outbreak? Last year was wild but your big storms were after dark and out east.
I thought several of those were nighttime tornadoes, though?14 April 2012. And this is what people mean when complaining about a lack of classic plains tornado outbreaks.

Wynnewood outbreak from 2016 would verify as one I believe.I'd argue there really hasn't been one - if we mean 3-5 or more strong to violent tornadoes, all in the daytime - since May 24, 2011.
