Tornado Anniversaries

I actually do not. What was the event?

5/4/03 - High risk outbreak centered on eastern Kansas and western Missouri. Multiple long-track, killer F3/4s (one of which is a legit F5 candidate) in that region. Also later that evening an F4 struck Jackson, TN.

5/4/07 - Greensburg.

Is the Girard/Franklin, KS tornado the possible F5 you are talking about? I am on the fence on that one. This was also the day that sparked my interest in tornadoes and the damage they produce.

Meanwhile, the 6th was a gorgeous spring day here in Wisconsin. After driving through the Southern Plains the previous two days (after visiting my wife's aunt and some other family/friends she has in San Antonio), I spent the morning and early afternoon chasing the Canadian Pacific Railway's restored 1930 steam locomotive No. 2816 "The Empress" on the outbound leg of its big tri-national tour last year.

...then I spent the late afternoon in front of my computer with GR Level 3 up, wondering why the heck those discrete cells with hook echoes within the high risk area in Oklahoma weren't spamming long-lived, intense (and photogenic) tornadoes in the style of Storms A & B from 5/3/99. Then Barnsdall happened and I was like "...oh. We're doing the after dark thing again."

On this date 19 years ago a violent tormado hit Westminster, TX. It is one of the most grossly underrated tornadoes ever documented.
The person who made this thread in regards to the Westminster tormado is an absolute joke.
