It’s not that he’s no good, but he cherry picks soundings and certain model runs. He’s also not actually a meteorologist, but merely a hobbyist/enthusiast like us here. That doesn’t make his opinion any less valid, but he’s someone that’s quick to do the “major outbreak” and then an hour into an event “Bu$t” cycle. He’s just not someone that’s in my go to for weather analysis.

It reminds me of the event last year (I really can’t recall the exact date) but everyone on Twitter was posting screenshots of the violent tornado parameter being maxed out around southern Oklahoma and North Texas. Ironically, one of them was that StarInBox guy mentioned above. There were zero storms in the area though. It does no good to have maxed out parameters or high STP values if a discrete supercell isn’t there to take advantage of it. It’s just eye candy.

Give me a STP of 5 or 6 with two supercells in the area any day over a maxed out parameter space where storm mode/initiation is in question

I think the tv show really brought a lot of negative opinions out about him.

I am a fan of the current quirky version of Reed though. He still has that same passion, but really does seem to be a nice guy and everyone that has met him all say he is quite nice. He’s just doing the standard American male process of aging where he goes from the swashbuckling cowboy in his 20s to a more mellowed out quirky version in his 40s.

At the school I go too, I get compared to Reed all the time because of how quirky I can be lol. Probably tmi, but thought it would be funny to share.
 
Will how tomorrow plays out directly affect the situation on the 29th? I'm in the Enhanced D3 area. So I'm hoping a weak day tomorrow means a weak day on Tuesday.

I mean, if you’re going to do that, then name names. We really don’t see that here very often. Usually when someone does post an STP plot it’s to accentuate a larger point on a setup. If someone does do it, they are usually explained about STP works and how it requires storms to be present In the first place.

Yeah, no. Simply asking someone to further elaborate on a cheap dig attempt at some users on here isn’t aggressive. If you have an issue with my post, my DMs are open.

I’m not getting in the mud with you like you tried to get other posters to last year with your constant posts ripping on the SPC. This conversation is over
