Severe WX Severe threat 3/30-3/31

The state of local meteorology coverage in Memphis is truly sad.
Trevor Birchitt of ABC 24 Memphis (he's on the air right now) spoke at Mississippi State's Severe Storms Symposium yesterday. He talked about how ABC 24's team has shrinked to only 3 or 4 full-time meteorologists. I'd imagine his team isn't the only one dealing with this problem.

Everything is becoming linear on these mid south storms. Lots of lightning and golf ball sized hail but not much tornadic. There is a storm intensifying west of Forrest city in Arkansas that bears watching though.

Yeah definitely had a number of tornadoes today even if not supercelluar. Been fun at least to have some tornado warnings. My heart is happy. Unfortunately… we got a long week ahead.

Those line of storms still have to go through the Johnny Parker Tornado Magnetic Field Affect. Just sayin.....

Please take care tonight!

As for me, seeing as I have work tomorrow, I'm going to call it a night right now so that I can (try to) get some sleep (knock on wood), I'll check back tomorrow morning to see how things went (while keeping my phone and tablet charged up in case I need to use them overnight). In the meantime, I hope things don't get too wild during the overnight hours!

Night and safe wishes

What are we thinking for northwest Alabama? I'm right on the cusp of the bad weather it seems.
Still coming; this graphic by Huntsville is about right, except that I might move up the starting time by a few hours. Definitely make sure your weather radios are on if you're going to bed soon.
