Severe WX Severe Weather Threat 3/14-3/16

Mid levels are beginning to desaturate, the precip around these cells will only continue to dry out.

The storm mode around the southern end of the dryline will remain semi discrete for the rest of the night.

As highlighted by the NWS, violent tornadoes aren’t out of the question still.

Just went tornado warned
Yep I deleted my own post because twice today when I replied to similar it went TW. Crazy. I am usually not that bad at this LOL.

It helps to remember that large numbers of our fellow Americans are quite stupid when it comes to anything outside of their interest areas or daily patterns. Not a uniquely American phenomenon, but as with many things we are upper tier when it comes to our inability to see beyond our own isolated self-interest.
Stupid may not be the best word to use.

Perhaps “ignorant” would be better? lol

What do you mean underperform? The “performance” in Alabama is JUST getting started.
Well, so far we haven’t had many violent tornadoes of the truly “long-track” variety in Alabama. I was also worried there would be a point where there were so many tornado warnings in Alabama at once that it would be hard to keep up with them, but that hasn’t been the case.

I’m not calling this a Forecasted Convective Amplification Deficiency or being critical of the forecast. I’m just saying that I’m glad that *so far* it hasn’t been as terrible in Alabama as we feared it could be.

Not sure if it'll rapidly intensify, but it definitely has the best chance of any storms in Alabama right now
I do see it intensifying. Not sure how much it is rotating but I see it.
