...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 830 PM CST FOR NORTHERN
WAYNE COUNTY...

At 753 PM CST, a confirmed large and extremely dangerous tornado was
located 8 miles northwest of Waynesboro, moving east at 50 mph.

This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. TAKE COVER NOW!

HAZARD...Damaging tornado.

SOURCE...Radar confirmed tornado.

IMPACT...You are in a life-threatening situation. Flying debris may
be deadly to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes
will be destroyed. Considerable damage to homes,
businesses, and vehicles is likely and complete destruction
is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Waynesboro.

One thing about tornadoes in this part of the country - they can often occur even despite pitiful lapse rates. Wind fields have improved over the last couple hours in this area, and I'd have to guess this, combined with these storms riding boundaries, is contributing to the tornado we have now.
