You and me both. I have it on my bucket list. While I would be just fine seeing it in Alaska or Canada, I really wanna travel to Iceland sometime.

Thought this was interesting. I wish I lived further north sometimes so I could see them.

They happen in the south, just not often. I took this from North Georgia on 6/23/15. To date the most amazing thing I've ever seen. I should note this is a 30 second frame so they weren't nearly as bright in person.
