SUMMARY...Tornado risk appears likely to be maximized in a narrow
zone from southwestern to east-central Mississippi over the next
hour.
DISCUSSION...Latest radar loop shows a band of generally small, but
rotating cells moving northeastward at around 35 kt, in a band
extending from roughly Lincoln County in southwestern Mississippi,
to Newton/Neshoba/Kemper Counties in east-central Mississippi.
While generally small in size, a few of these cells have shown
rather pronounced low-level rotation (rotational velocity around 40
kt). Given the favorable background environment, this appears
likely to be a favored zone for a stronger tornado over the next
hour or so.
