I did see a higher number of fatalities for the Smithville tornado mentioned in the MEG NWSChat after the LSR went out, but that number hadn't been confirmed. That's the number I'm getting too... I'd imagine the official number won't go much higher as the storms have been out of the state for a while. Deadliest tornado day in MS since... IDK when. Too busy to look it up. At least since 92.

More deaths than the Superoutbreak in 1974. I hate typing this stuff but....i just have the feeling to.
I mean in AlabamaThe Super Outbreak killed more than 300 if I recall correctly so let's not quite jump to conclusions yet even though I fear that this storm could overtake that seeing the populated areas it has decimated.
128 confirmed by AL EMA and rising....per CNN blog... 123 fatalities in Alabama alone yesterday, from emergency management.
Check. It has a big bow echo blowing through much of north central Alabama during the first half of the day.
I guess that would "use up" a lot of our instability if it happened?
I guess that answers that...It would. It just remains to be seen whether that actually happens or not.
