I’m not sure when the Missouri/Arkansas storms are supposed to get going but they may regret not being in North Mississippi soon.

That storm north of Birmingham has a lowering in the base.

Just went below the tree tops ( my sight of it is skewered because of the tree tops blocking my view but the cloud base was a little bit lowered and scuddy***). Bout to drive that way

The storms in southwest MO are kind of growing upscale already. That could end up being a big flash flooding issue if they keep training like that.

Seems like a classic supercell outbreak (the caveat being that we're seeing it in August). Lots of instability to work with, pretty good spacing but things are (thankfully) not making it to the ground. Shear in the lowest 1km seems lacking which I'm guessing is playing a role. Still, a lot of juice to work with, and I'd watch out as night falls as better dynamics may move east.
